A Spanish Company invented their self-cleaning solution

The Spanish company Kekatron Desarrollo SL invented a self-cleaning toilet that completely changed the way a toilet flushes.

In a recent video from Pamplona, showcasing the upgraded bathroom capabilities, the loo is loaded with lots of fake poop and toilet paper to imitate a very dirty bowl. Then, instead of normally flushing away dirt, the loo retracts and closes itself automatically in its unit then it cleans, dries, and disinfects itself with ozone gas after each use.

The clip ends with the toilet coming back into place, looking like it’s never been used. Besides, the cleaning process requires only 2 liters of water (around a third of what the average toilet uses with each flush).

Undoubtedly it’s a new frontier of self-washing toilets for public bathrooms. However, will people trust the cleaning results even if the bowl looks new? Or will some people still be unconfident, afraid, or reluctant to sit on the bowl knowing someone might have pissed or pooped on the seat? Maybe the perfect solution would be to demonstrate the toilet is really clean, as well as to just look clean, in order to make people enjoy a toilet, even if it’s public.
