The Faux Fan is a small metal speaker the size of a deck of cards. It features four sound options, each of which sounds like white, pink, or brown noise, with or without any melody with the goal to have portable noise-canceling equipment that you can take with you wherever you go to disguise the “sounds” that occur in the restroom.
Despite the noise produced can be easily mistaken for a hairdryer in a public restroom so much that it covers gas noises, it’s not the same if we use it at someone else’s house because someone would hardly believe we are in the toilet for drying our hair all the time. In that case, it’s better and simpler using some kind of music or video on our mobile played louder.
In Japan they had already thought about this problem therefore most of their washlets have the feature to cover bodily function noises with an appropriate button that plays music or some kind of noise.
Anyway, the Faux Fan has 16 different volume levels. Everyone is different, but you may rest confident that there is a volume and setting that can drown out almost anything your body can produce. It also has a small USB jack for charging and lasts approximately 4 hours. It even comes with a wrist strap so you can hang the Faux Fan while you go to the toilet.
