Xiaomi had already developed its own first smart toilet with lots of features two years ago. Now, it’s time for children.
On the Xiaomi Youpin crowdfunding platform, the Ukideer brand, which is part of the Xiaomi ecosystem, has just introduced the first smart toilet built for children: the Ukideer Children’s Smart Toilet U1. The product has a crowdfunding price of 599 yuan (83 euros), but it will have a retail price of 999 yuan in the future (140 euros).
This toilet is appropriate for children aged 0 to 6 years old. It can easily seal and package diapers and feces with a single button, ensuring that they are constantly clean, saving time and work while efficiently isolating odors and keeping the area cool.
In addition, its sealing and packaging process, in particular, prevents microorganisms and odors. Furthermore, no cleaning is necessary due to the easy removal of the dirty bag.
A box of sealing bags is also included and it may pack waste continually for a month because one box equals 5 meters of material, which is a total use of 40-45 times. Then, to seal the bags, a smart system of suction and bag replacement is used.
The toilet also includes a built-in feature that allows the toilet seat to open automatically within 2 seconds if the baby or girl reaches 15cm. However, to prevent youngsters from playing with the automated opening and closing function, there is an independent kid lock switch. It also saves battery life by preventing pets from accidentally touching it.
The built-in lithium battery, instead, can make the smart toilet work more than 60 times on a single charge.
Smart toilets are gradually getting in every house, thanks to their technology which makes them comfortable and useful. But there’s more. For the nations in which there have never been a bidet or where it’s not a common habit, the excuse for an advanced toilet, like those in Japan, it’s an opportunity to also have a bidet without adding a new bathroom fixture. We knew that nations who introduce a bidet for the first time in their houses would have been inspired by the Japanese technological world rather than by more classic nations like Italy.
