A savvy Aussie mum shared on the Mums Who Budget & Save Facebook group, a toilet paper hack to use less paper and save more money.
She suggested squashing the toilet paper roll down before placing it on the holder. Thanks to this trick, the toilet roll can’t spin easily as usual on the holder, this means that her kids use less paper each time they go to the loo because the spin motion is less smooth.
“Kids home from school? Going through toilet paper faster than usual? Try squashing the roll, so it doesn’t spin so quickly, and then not as much will be pulled off”, she writes.
The ingenious hack immediately went viral among other mums in these times where toilet paper is a precious commodity and saving money is always useful.
