An Apple MacBook Air inspired a toilet seat

It’s the idea of a luxury design firm

A design firm called Pinkhouse has been trying to break into luxury fashion furniture. So the firm was hell-bent on developing a chic, comfortable toilet seat and after various mark-ups, designs, prototypes, and research conducted by visiting various hardware stores, they finally found a design that they thought would be the most appealing to consumers: the Apple MacBook.

Perhaps the similarity comes from the cover of the MacBook Air’s display section and the overall sleek, slender styling given to the seat, but while the MacBook cover is laser-cut steel and slightly bent and powder-coated, the seat itself is made from maple wood which is not only sturdy but has a warm, traditional hardwood appeal. The company says that they’re also working on plastic models that would be more affordable. Anyway, they also made a toilet chair version if you prefer to lay your cheeks on it all day long.

However, while just the toilet seat cover sells for about $260. The toilet chair goes for as high as $850. Apple users won’t miss out!
