Tracking your poop sounds funny but it can be healthy

In addition to fitness trackers and health apps, we could not leave out the poop apps but I’m not talking about fun apps or games; I mean apps that allow us to keep track of the shape, texture, and color of our poop to better understand our state of health. These apps allow us to log our health status daily according to the type of poop we produce.

We are now very familiar with the calculation of calories, heart rate, and sleep quality. Therefore, poop monitoring could also be added as a new parameter to get a complete report of our health in more and more detail to prevent some diseases.

However, a doctor is always necessary for a clear description of any problem but we can have an initial report of probable signs that indicate the beginning of a disease.

We searched among Android and iOs apps to find out which poop apps are the most curious and useful.

Poop Tracker

This app can track and analyze your bowel movements easily then it prints out your stool analysis to quickly and easily share this data with your doctor.

You can understand what your bowel movements mean and how they affect your health by analyzing your stool consistency, color, frequency, size, pain, blood, and urgency over time. Now you can find out how frequently you suffer from bowel conditions like constipation, diarrhea, or bloody stool tracking your bowel movements.

Poop Tracker uses the Bristol Stool Scale to determine the quality of your poop and allows you to track and analyze your bowel movement data across all of your log entries.

You can also log ‘No Poop’ days and leave custom notes when you’re constipated. You can view and modify previous poop log entries with the comprehensive calendar view of your stool history.

It’s also possible to export or import a CSV data file of all of your stool entries, so your data can be saved and restored, or sent to your healthcare provider.

The app also offers in-app purchases to get more features and is available for Android.

Poop Keeper

This poop-tracking app, like the previous one, records your toilet activities and reminds you to do them. Poo Keeper is a sleek app for your everyday toilet use. You can take a photo of your poo (safely with an auto timer) and then enter other details based on the 7 types of stools, speed, and amount.

It also has a reminder when it’s due for poop and another useful feature is to hide poop photos from your gallery.

The app also offers in-app purchases and the app is available both for iOs and Android.

Plop

Like the others, you can easily record color, shape, and/or symptoms and get your data analyzed instantly with insightful stats and trends to navigate your health daily.

Besides, you can learn how to improve digestion and gut health by choosing the right food.

This app is available both for iOs and Android.

PCal

Even PCal allows you to log your bowel movements, track poop stats like Stool color, Stool type (Bristol Stool Scale), poop urgency, stool size, bloody stool, and more. You can also leave notes and photos on each stool entry, these can be useful to determine if your diet is causing you poop problems. You can view a data breakdown and graph of your poop statistics over time including metrics like when your bowel movements happen and a day-by-day history.

Poop Map

Lastly, we chose a fun app that doesn’t track your poop for health but just logs the places you’ve pooped.

By pressing the only real button available, “Drop the poop”, you’ll mark your location and be able to conquest your home, office, or friend’s houses. Expand everywhere and show your friends “all these places I’ve pooped”.

It also enables you to share your poop locations privately with your friends, or with the world, using the app or via the official website.

Have you ever dreamed about getting push notifications when your friend drops a new poop or you get a new follower? The day is here! And you can also like your friend’s poop in the feed.

The app also offers in-app purchases to get more features and is available both for iOs and Android.
