As often happen recently, a toilet is hard to find when needed, so here’s a new idea that should fix the problem.
A toilet bus is, in fact, a bus converted to a public toilet offering restrooms for women, men, and disabled people. Furthermore, it has washbasins and changing tables for babies. The idea started using an old and disused bus then turned into a toilet. It drives around the city where it’s more needed, especially during big events. This the first mobile-toilet in Europe. To work it has 2 tanks: one of 2.500 liters with clean water and another of 2.700 liters to hold wastewater. The power supply is provided by some charging stations placed near the parking areas. The conversion from old bus to toilet bus was about $80,000.
The first toilet bus appearance was in Milan during the ‘Fashion week’, but it was guaranteed that it will be available for many other events, especially in place of the inelegant and uncomfortable porta-potties. This idea was borrowed from China where toilet buses seem to have been set up for some time to tackle urban decay.
