They rise at night and are lowered during the day
One of the most common problems, if you are hanging around the street for a long time, might be to find a toilet. Maybe right in an unlikely corner. That’s what a pop-up toilet Urilift does.
Urilift is a company that provides special public toilet facilities. They produce a sort of elevator toilets with different features but they have in common the attribute of rising from the underground with a hydraulic lift.
During the day, it’s easier to find a toilet, for example in a restaurant. At night, especially after midnight, people are resorted to peeing on the street with the absence of bathrooms. So, in the morning the shop owners have to clean and wash where people peed.
Urilift pop-up toilets solve the problem with different solutions: Urilady is a single cabin for ladies with a mirror and toilet paper, too; Urilift has three urinals that are recessed to get some privacy and Urilift Combi is a combination of both. They all are based on a hydraulic lift and have overhead lights. The roofs of these toilets are designed to blend with the sidewalks when they are not in service. Besides, they have self-cleaning technology and are vandalism-resistant. During the day, they are lowered below the street level, but at night are lifted by an operator with a remote. You can find them in many cities like Amsterdam, Guildford, Islington, Esbjerg, and Perth.
That looks like a great solution!
